This Class is designed for those who have already taken both ACLS and BLS once and need recertification as well as the AHA 2020 updates in ACLS and BLS.

This AHA course is designed for advanced healthcare providers in enhanced cardiac care.

ACLS Training

ACLS Refresher Course is an advanced instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care.  It also covers airway management and related pharmacology.  In this course, skills are taught in large and small group sessions, learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.

Intended Audience: ACLS Update Course is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units.

Please note:  To attend this course, you must have already taken a Provider course in the last two years, or have taken a renewal course in the last two years.  If you have not, or if you need ACLS for the first time, you, must enroll in a New Provider course.  To enroll please register for the ACLS Provider Course or call 541 668-1731 to sign up for a Provider course.

BLS Training

This class is designed for healthcare providers. This class is for either intial certification or recertification.

The American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe timely and effective manner.

Intended Audience: This course is for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

AHA recommends the purchase of the 2020 BLS student handbook. They can be acquired through AHA at onlineaha.org/AHA, worldpoint.com or AED Superstore.com

Class starts promptly at the listed start time. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before class is scheduled to start, so that you may sign in and the instructor can go over any administrative information that needs to be covered. All students must be in the class by 15 minutes after class start time. Any student who is not in class by then must reschedule their course. No refunds will be issued.

Blended Learning (online portion), followed by hands-on skills sessionHeartCode ACLS/BLS uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, team dynamics training, megacode cases, and interactive activities to teach students ACLS///BLS knowledge and skills.

HeartCode ACLS/BLS is the AHA’s ACLS blended learning delivery method. 

Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on skills session.

Complete the online portion + hands-on skills session with an AHA Instructor, or with a Simulation Station or voice-assisted manikin (VAM)

The online portion of HeartCode ACLS/BLS can be completed in 6.5 to 7 hours.

Time to complete the hands-on ACLS/BLS skills session is approximately 5 hours using the full agenda, and approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes using the update course agenda.

ACLS/BLS Provider Course Completion Card, valid for two years

To enter the course, students must complete the ACLS/BLS Precourse Self-Assessment.

  • Students are then presented with an enhanced learning experience through eSimulations, life-like animations, video scenarios, and knowledge checks.
  • Cases may be repeated as many times as necessary to pass. Upon successful completion of all the patient cases, students must pass the multiple-choice exam with a minimum score of 84%.
  • Web-based, self-paced eSimulation instructional program for ACLS/BLS cognitive training.
  • Students apply knowledge to real-time decision-making and skills development
  • Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation to facilitate learning.

This AHA ACLS and PALS SKILLS course is designed for advanced healthcare providers in enhanced pediatric and cardiac care.

This is the ACLS/PALS (skills training) instructor-led classroom for students that have sucessfully completed the online acls and pals training course and needs the skills testing for both PALS and ACLS.

PALS is geared towards healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children and for personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.

ACLS is geared for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units.

This course provides the most up-to-date BLS information and the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe timely and effective manner.

Intended Audience: This course is for healthcare professionals renewing their BLS certification who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

The BLS skills or HeartCode is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the BLS Course. HeartCode blended learning delivers quality resuscitation education regardless of where providers are located and gives them more control to complete the course at their own pace. Providers first complete the online portion of HeartCode BLS and then complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS Instructor or on a simulation station.

This product has been updated with new science from the 2020 Guidelines for CPR and ECC and replaces the previous version (15-3254).  If you are a student, please confirm with your Training Center that this is the appropriate product for your training.

The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED (4 hour) course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements, or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.
